Dunster Beach started life in the roaring 1920's by Lady Luttrel who resided at Dunster Castle. She had the first beach hut installed for her personal use, then a few more were built to be rented out, a few years later a second row (where Salad Days is located) was added. During World War II it housed Coastal Defence Workers and the Home Guard building the coastal fortifications, Dunster Beach had slit trenches, barbed wire and pillboxes, although now gone the pillboxes remain as a reminder of darker days at Dunster Beach.
Today it offers a charming escape from modern life. Relax and unwind at Salad Days Beach Hut.
